To Measure: When presser foot is down, measure the distance from the bottom of the presser foot to the screw-hole that holds the foot onto the presser bar.
A high shank machine measures approximately 1 1/4" from the presser foot screw to the bottom of the foot. (Uses High Shank Sewing Feet)
A low shank machine measures approximately 3/4" from the presser foot screw to the bottom of the foot. (Uses Low Shank Sewing Feet)
We carry mostly High Shank Feet (PRT5000, PRT5001, etc.) and Snap-On feet (which are used for most home machines, SEW1005, SEW1009, etc.). We don’t carry any slant shank and only a couple of the Low Shank feet (PRT5030, PRT5034 and PRT5035).
