I am confused. There is a jersey needle and a stretch needle. Both say they are for knits. How do you decide which to use?

Both needles have a medium ball point and are intended for knits. The stretch needle also has a special eye and scarf area that helps to prevent skipped stitches on very highly elastic materials.

The package says it is for home machines. Does that include a "home" serger machine? Or just a regular sewing machine.... I have a basic Singer serger. Thank you :)

Yes, these needles fit most home serger machines as well. Be sure to verify the needle system for your serger from the user manual.

I have a Singer Pro Finish serger model# 14CG754, I saw that you answered to someone else to verify the needle system for the serger, but I can’t find that information in my manual. Is this an appropriate needle for my machine? And is it the proper choice for sewing fleece?

This needle would work fine for that machine (It takes standard home machine needles 130/705H). This is a ball point, however, which is mainly designed for stretch fabrics or knits. I would recommend a regular point needle (Stock #: SMNR151*). As for if it's for fleece, it's going to depend on how thick the fabric is AND the size of the thread. For instance, a tex 40 thread will use a size 14 needle. Jean thread, tex 80 would use a size 18 needle. The thicker the thread/fabric, the higher size you will need. We have a great chart under "Additional Information" that will help further with this.

I’m a little confused with sizes. Which size would best fit my Brother Serger 1034DX?

Hello, these needles will work in your machine. It's best to match the needle size to the thickness of the thread/fabric you are working on. We added a thread tex size to machine needle size under "additional information" to further assist you. Hope it helps.
